A massive three points picked up yesterday as we edge closer to the Premier title

Apologies for the lack of resent updates…

We have been unbeaten in the last 10 games, Tivvy went into yesterday’s match away at Heavitree with a very positive attitude but knowing every point picked up at this stage of the season is vital.

The first 45 minutes was a nervous and edgy display from Tivvy, not really moving the ball around as we have normally tried to do this season. We conceded a very sloppy goal part way through the 1st half but thankfully the only positive thing we could take from the first half display was an equalizing goal from the head of Dave O’Conner after a deep cross.

After a change of formation and some strong words said at half time, the second half was more like the way we can play, having lots of possession and starting to move the ball at a quicker pace, and then we started creating some chances. Tiverton’s second goal came along midway through the half. An in swinging corner was converted home by Richard Groom. The scored remained 2-1 and a very happy management team and players left Heavitree knowing if we win on Wednesday night, and Feniton lose away at Sidbury, we will be crowned Premier champions….

Team: Wannall, Ash, Coomb, Groom, Howe, Tricker, Goff, Bradford, Searle, O’Oconner & Thompson.
