Away Win at Cullompton

A local derby game that drew a good crowd as expected, and saw the home team have a good start against a Tivvy team that started well, but a littles slowly, and took some time to grow into the game. Some half chances came and went for Tivvy and a frenetic first half came and went without any goals.
The 2nd half started better, and for all the passing we like to do, it was a longer ball to clear a high defensive Cullompton line that saw Ethan Phillips latch on and convert to make it 1-0 Tivvy. As the half went on Tivvy grew in confidence and started to dominate possession and create more half chances. The 2nd goal again came from a long clearance, after keeping possession and going back to keeper Wannell, who was pressed to take a touch and clear, and as the Cully bench praised their own pressing, the ball sailed, once again, over a high Cully defence and saw Ethan Phillips once again latch onto the dropping ball, and lob a keeper finely once again who was caught in no mans land.
The game ended 2-0 Tivvy, but more chances went close, but at chances are being created..
A good confidence boosting 3 points as the team gains more confidence for our home game Saturday against Ivybridge.
A big thank you to our supporters and board members who came along, much appreciated support and hopefully we can get a decent crowd Saturday..image image image image image image image image
