SWPL Charity Vase Winners

A fantastic team display at Wadebridge FC in the SWPL Charity Vase , saw the reserves bring home the clubs first silverware for the season, and hopefully not the clubs last. Tivvy dominated most of the first half with some fine football on display to consistently cause there opponents problems, and took a deserved 2-0 lead into half time courtesy of two Kenny Ord goals. The only disappointment of the half were the chances we created weren’t converted.
The 2nd half was fairly comfortable, although we looked a little tired, but sat in with a good shape and controlled the game infront of us when needed, and broke well on the counter to create more chances, which unfortunately weren’t taken to seal the game.                 Mousehole moved the ball around well from side to side, and at times threatened to show why they scored so many goals last season, but never really threatened our keeper for most of the game.
All in all a good squad performance for our first competitive game, and quite a few new faces to settle in, who all do so well.
Captain Alex Gray celebrated his first game in charge by picking up his first silverware for the club to celebrate at the end of the season….
Many thanks go out to those who did travel quite a distance to come and support us, and even the local support that had very kind words to say about our team and performance!! COYY’s.
