Alex Faux

The younger of the Faux brothers, Alex made his first team debut in August 2008 and went on to establish himself as a regular member of the team over the course of the next five years. Having spent two years with the club’s Youth team he then gained senior experience with Taunton Town before returning to Ladysmead in 2008 where he was initially an understudy to regular left-back Chris Vinnicombe.

Due to Vinnicombe’s premature departure Alex racked up 42 games in his first season at Tiverton and for the next three seasons was the undisputed first choice in his position, although he also made sporadic appearances in an attacking midfield role. The arrival of Lewis Tasker in the summer of 2012 meant that for the first time Alex had a genuine contender for the number 3 shirt, and during that season he was used often in a more attacking role.

Alex left the club in late August 2013 having made 215 appearances, scoring seven goals in competitive competition and joined a number of former teammates at Bridgwater Town, but with a further change of manager at the club the following summer as Martyn Rogers returned Alex was back in the Tivvy ranks and back as the undisputed first choice left-back.
