John Wannell

John spent all his youth football with Exeter city coming through the ranks until the age of 16/17. John played for Devon for several years, being part of the successful team that won the Devon Cup. He had England School boy trials 2 years running, landing non travelling reserve the second time around.

He spent 4 seasons at Witheridge, then moved to Cullompton for a season, then making the move to Tiverton reserves. A highly experienced, top quality goalkeeper with good handling, shot stopping, distribution and communication skills. As with all goalkeepers john fancies himself as an out field player with classy foot-work and composure on the ball… Enough said!!

A big part of last seasons success with the reserves, his experience really boosted the already strong defensive unit, and hopefully here for some time to come, as classy keepers are hard to find..
