Under 18s tested against Tipton

With the season fast approaching the management team of George Rogers and Owen Howe were keen to see the squad in action. Having not played together before and against a tough Tipton St John senior team it was always going to be a tough ask for the young guns to get anything from the game but the lads showed a great maturity and it did not look their maiden voyage.

There yellows took an early lead with Reece Jordan finishing off a great move before Tipton equalised and then pushed in front and quickly scored a second before Brad Kelly evened things up. The lads continued to play some great football but got caught out by the wily experience of the men near the end with the result ending up 4-2 to the visitors.

This was a really encouraging start for the lads who all played exceptionally well … next Thursday they entertain Willand Reserves at uplowman with a 7.00pm kick off
