TIVVY FANS

Tivvy Fans is a fan-based initiative aimed and bringing together supporters of Tiverton Town in an effort to support the club both on and off the pitch. The primary aims of this Supporters Club are as follows:

  • Create a network of Tiverton Town fans
  • Provide vocal support for the team on match day
  • To endeavour to use the club house on a social basis
  • Raise funds for the club
  • Organise both sporting fixtures and social events
  • Travel arrangements for away games

Pay for a Player
In order for the club to move back into the Southern Premier the management will need to build on the successful squad from last season. Unfortunately, financial constraints will make this task difficult. Therefore, one of the main initiatives of the Supporters Club will be to raise enough money to pay for a player’s wage for the season; a figure of about £1600 will be the target. In order to raise this there will be a number of fund raising events which hopefully the fans of Tiverton Town will embrace. Any money raised will go towards the playing budget – the Supporters Club is being run as a separate entity to Tiverton Town, so the donations will be given to specific projects.

Social Club
In the last season, fans of the club have already enjoyed a number of football matches and this will be continuing, with hopefully new faces joining the squad. There are plans for events involving golf, pool and darts in the next year.

Travel
This Supporters Club is an opportunity to organize mini bus travel or car shares to help get as many fans to the games as possible.

There is no financial cost to join the Supporters Club. The initial aim is create a network of fans through e-mail or phone contacts. Each month there will be an update letter via e-mail or paper copy for those without internet access. There is no obligation by signing up, but hopefully the fans of our club will recognise the importance of working together to make TTFC successful.

If you are interested in joining TIVVY FANS Supporters Club then please contact the following email or fill in details on the notice board: In order to achieve the goal of raising £1600, there are going to be a number of events and competitions, but one of the main sources of income will be Performance Related Pay. What we are hoping is that fans will pledge money for individual or team performance over the season. Rather than just pay £1 towards each goal scored, we are going to run the scheme as follows:

We are asking Tivvy fans to nominate a particular player or shirt number and if they score make a one pound donation. There is nothing that you cannot choose to pledge towards – your imagination is the limit!

With regards to paying, then there are a number of options. You can pay weekly, monthly or at the end of the season – whatever is convenient to the pledger. All statistics will be taken from the league, FA Cup and FA Trophy games, and will be those supplied to the relevant official authorities – the Southern League and the Football Association (the Dubious Goals Panel will not be involved!)

All the money raised through the scheme is going towards a donation given to the club for the wages of a player for this season. Whatever contribution you can make will be welcome and will help the club become more successful. If you make a pledge your name will be recorded in the programme every week on the official Tivvy Fans page to thank you for your support.

To make a pledge email , fill in a pledge form that will be in the clubhouse from Saturday or speak directly to Olly Priestly.

Thanks to everyone who has made a pledge so far, and I hope we can encourage others to help support Tivvy throughout the season.
