Biography

Russell’s Tiverton career started with a one-off appearance in April 2001 when he was just 19 years old as he was drafted into the team which beat Gloucester City, Jee making his bow as a second half substitute replacing Dave Toomey. It was more than nine years later that he pulled on the yellow jersey for a second time and since rejoining the club from Willand Rovers he has acted as a versatile squad member, usually playing in the heart of the midfield, but also filling in at fullback on a number of occasions.

What Russell lacks in pace he makes up for with his determined tackling and composure in possession, and he is able to control the tempo of games and find time and space to pick out passes with an unerring calmness.
