playing career that saw him play for Bristol City, The
Grecians and Bath City amongst others. Martyn was John
Owen’s assistant before becoming manager. Led the team
out at Wembley on three separate occasions in FA Vase
finals, and has also shepherded Tivvy to five FA Cup

Grimmers |
Assistant Manager |
|
Grimmers makes a welcome return to Tiverton for the 2007-08
season having left four years ago to take up the vacant
managerial post at historical rivals Mangotsfield
United. During his playing career he excelled as a
striker at Yeovil Town and also spent time at Bath City
and Weymouth, but it was at Tiverton where he really
enjoyed his best form. Indeed, he currently stands as
the last player to score five goals in a match for the
Yellows, a feat he achieved in a 7-1 drubbing of Frome
Town in February 1996.. In his first spell as Assistant
manager at Tivvy he helped guide the club to successive
FA Vase triumphs, and will be eager to help Town to
further success. |

A highly rated 25 year-old who won Taunton Town’s Young
Player of the Year before joining Tivvy in 2005.
Previously with Dawlish Town, he is at home in midfield
or as a wingback, and has covered in the heart of the
defence on occasions. Played most of last season on the
right flank but moved into a midfield anchor role
towards the end of the campaign and gave great coverage
for the defensive line. Mike scooped four awards at the
end of last season, including the coveted Players’’
Player of the Year gong, but suffered a knee cartilage
injury during the pre-season schedule which is likely to
keep him out of action for the majority of the season. |

including reaching double figures last term despite
playing only half a season of football due to studying
